Thank you you put words to what I’ve been doing and at first I felt guilty for taking time to myself going to a yoga class or just staying home and being with myself so thank you yes to snowy days

I've felt guilty too, but then realize that I need to take care of myself first in order to make any meaningful change.

Thanks Meghan -- you did it again...clarity...grounding...reality...breathe...It is so hard to know what is reliable news and what is not -- thank you for helping us ground ourselves in reality and find a humane path forward.

Your newsletters are like my snow days from all the other noise..oh I mean news.. out there ;) Thank you for sharing this and all of your previous newsletters! Your words always leave me feeling uplifted! I hope you enjoy the heck out of your break and take as long as you want to away. But just so you know, I am sure I am not the only one who will be eagerly awaiting the return of the Odd Fodder newsletter! Happy snow day, Meghan!

Thank you for this important reminder, you speak for many of us in the same place with frustration, sadness and the feeling that we have lost control of lives to those who are self absorbed and out for themselves instead of the American people as a whole.. So Thank you for the gentle reminder to stay grounded and mostly, Keep your head buried deep in the sand. Smile! Be well!

Thank you, Jo. It's a balance of keeping my head down (for my own sanity) but not getting completely disengaged. The most important things I can do is stay grounded and compassionate. I'm glad this resonates with you. Thank you for reading!

My favorite thing about a snow day.....it's SO quiet outside. It's like the world (or at least my neighborhood), stopped to pause, even if it's just a couple of hours or until that person with a 4 wheel drive has to go out and do doughnuts- LOL!

Snow days are long over due. We are expecting snow here in Sparks tomarrow.

Be nice to stay home and watch it come down. Lazy days.

Your fodder echos my feelings about the political climate and wanting to step away from the ugly noise. Yeah, a snow day is in order! Maybe a couple of them.

Our thoughts are so entangled. Your words echo everything I feel. Thank you for writing this beautiful piece. Love the photos. I have photos from when Lloyd and I lived off grid in the Tahoe National Forest with snow piled higher than our trucks. Those 10 feet years. You helped me flash back to those good snow day memories. Enjoy each precious moment you can capture. You’re amazing!

Dear Meghan, I was feeling funky yesterday and insisted that we come to Tahoe, weather and all-I think you nailed it, I too needed a snow day from the chaos and unkindness. Thank you for your hearfelt piece.
